The winter snow was white and crisp. Visible beyond the porch of my mountain cabin were the tracks from our cross-country skis. The trek was arduous. I carried most of the load, clothes, food, and supplies, as well as a little something extra. We took off our skis and entered my cabin. I had a fire going moments later. Still, she complained about the cold. I told her I could rectify that. The hot chocolate contained that little something extra.
I set her down on her big fur coat close to the hearth. I love the glow of the flames as they flicker on her spectacular physique. I can't wat until she wakes up!
