Sorry, it took me so long to reply but I did find one story you might be talking about in a book he put out. The book the story is in is called Dr. Minimizer's Tales of Scale - Vol. 1: Love & Shrink Rays. The story is called The Choice. I had just happened to find my copy of the book when I was looking for another book.
