I lived in Trenton, NJ for several years. You'd think the state capital would be nice ... but ...

I lived on the border ... if you crossed the street, you were in Lawrenceville, which is nice. I lived two blocks from the Trenton Farmer's Market, which was next door to Halo Farm. Low-priced and delicious milk, ice cream, fresh vegetables and meats ... the Amish community was gradually taking over the Farmers Market, which suited everyone just fine. I make it a point to stop there whenever I go back up to NJ.ImageImage

Now I live near Fort Lauderdale Florida ... a nice place to live, but it seemed there was more to do in NJ ... plus New York City was close, which was a bonus ... that would be really convenient with Size Con in NY ... figures I'd move before that launched :)

Here's the Sunrise City Hall ... The 2nd Annual Sunrise Comicon (sponsored by the city) will be held here ... and I just may have a table :)

(Since I'm having trouble posting pics ... I just linked to some websites with the photos ...)

What Ho! A token of Milady's favour! Forsooth, I shall carry it nearest my heart!
 'Twas my pleasure kind sir!

I shall inform my alter ego (avvy) to go and find another one to replace it, as it looks silly waving a single pom pom. :D

Nice ones puddinhead. Pastoral pictures of cows and woodland are always good to see, as are references to wildlife.

This gets you a pom pom prize! (so my avvy has thrown you one... catch!) :D

My neighbors, across the lane. Little orange tree, sprung up among the oaks and palmetto, I just leave the fruit for the critters.

Couldn't believe the date stamps! It's crazy how time slips away...Here's a little creek that runs through the back of my place, and an old, abandoned rail road bridge that crosses it.

I know this is a way old thread, but I wasn't around back then to share. This is where I live, Rural Florida. Can't get too detailed as this is a very small community, the nearest town dosen't even have a traffic light.

My IP puts me in the middle of the Thames.

---
Google usually thinks I'm in the town below mine.

I just checked a couple of ip sites and they're mostly off, but not all of them. None has my exact location doe.

I'm still wondering where the weather channel got this -

I went to a march in Preston 1992 against Lancs County Council ban on working with lesbian and gay young people - as if you can tell and if you do find someone, are you going to throw them out of the Youth Club!? It was an OK sort of town, well sort of :p
1992? Well I think we can claim to be a little more enlightened and tolerant nowadays.

'92 was a Guild year too, so I guess your visit didn't coincide with the celebrations of it (the main events would have been occurring during September)

Oh yes, lovely pics, and an equally lovely description. Thank you!

And all the more incentive for me to get out with the camera (and bore everyone with pics of pretty Preston, haha!)

"Eee. it's reet grim up north, lad!" :D

My IP puts me in the middle of the Thames.

Especially for you Sal, some memories of when I were a lad - this was when only about 20 people had cars in the whole town...the rest had rickshaws or donkies. Northumberland Park in Tottenham where that girl was shot dead used to be where we chilled as a family (my life was split between London/Hertfordshire and Cornwall), I remember one of my grandfathers who was a factory foreman take us there and there being like loads of space to park - his was like the minimum rank to have a car - none of the workers under him had one.
