I would LOVE to hear her high pitched screams and watch her wiggle and squirm. Music to my ears! :3

While searching online for the new Barbie movie, I stumbled upon this old animated movie from 2006 (The Barbie Diaries), featuring a short sequence where an embarrassed Barbie imagines herself shrinking.

I think her surprise was "I'm here my appointment with my gynecologist!' Obviously she now has a vagina.

There was the giant hands meta joke and the fore mentioned shrunk down to size or transferred to another world line.

I would hope that they play off the way the doll's body is. It would have been funny to see Margot strip to shower in Barbie World and there is nothing under her clothes, just like the doll. They could get away with it with her wearing body spandex that is skin tone color to cover her bits. Then when she enters the Real World, she feels her body change a bit.

She could have doll joints, or look completely human. All I'm asking for is a POV handheld of Margot Robbie.

Well, there's at least one thing to come out of this Barbie movie disappointment. There's lots of pictures of Margot Robbie dressed in what appear to be doll clothes. And as DocRick shows, they are great for photoshopping. Could probably do some good fanfics and stories too. One story I thought of could be Margot getting shrunk and spending time as a little girl's Barbie to prepare for the role.
That's one of the reasons I made a whole series on the concept.

I think a "Barbie" movie on the line of Toy Story could satisfy our niche. When no people are around, the dolls look and act human, but Barbie size. When people are around, they are immobile dolls, but with real faces and they can move their eyes and some facial expressions, but only as seen by the other dolls. In the people's eyes, they look like regular dolls.

This is a huge reach, but remember the movie "Welcome to Marwen"?

It had at least 5 lovely celebs as SWs/dolls (sort of). Go ahead and Google it.

I looked through the IMDB pages of Marwen and Barbie. They both have someone named Gunter in visual effects. In Marwen, Gunter works with Atomic Fiction as a visual effects coordinator. In Barbie, Gunter is now a visual effects associate producer for Framestore (perhaps their own company).

I remember that movie. Cute concept and great video effects. With the right plot, it could be a great sw movie, but as if it was all in the mind of the "giant".

Or the Land of the Giants reboot becomes a thing. Or a Doctor Cyclops reboot.
Land of Giants doesn't feature any shrinking, just tiny people. Those storylines don't do it for me. For me the the fireworks is the shrinking itself. Speaking of Dr Cyclops, Amblin Entertainment had Michael Crichton's Micro in development, but that looks to be indefinitely stalled. And the Honey I Shrunk the Kids reboot is stalled as well. But I will forever be holding out for Incredible Shrinking Woman, or something vaguely adjacent. I gotta have the baggy clothes stuff.
Land of the Giants is really no different than shrinking. The little people went from their normal world to an identical world, just many times larger, so why is it different? Yes, the LOTG series has some weak plots and it could be much better. "Borrower" plot lines, true, don't involve the perspective of shrinking as they have always lived in the "giant" world, but once they begin interacting with the beans, the difference in size is interesting, at least for me. The Portal appears to be a LOTG thing, so it's good for me....except the weird masks. Not sure what that is all about, but we'll have to wait and see. For me, it's the media format. I prefer photocollage. Most of the CGI doesn't interest me, although I have seen a few very advanced CGI that nearly looks like a real photograph.

Here's a pic from a promo I saw sometime ago. It's kind of "squint" moment but I like it.

I'm not holding out any hope for any movie made for kids. None of the scenarios hold my interest. I am waiting for a remake of Incredible Shrinking Woman. Anything else is an inevitable let down.
I think Jesse Jr. Art Portal movie is going to be the only decent SW movie in the near or distant future.
Pretty much

Hollywood is so "woke", any remakes of old series or movies would be pretty lame.

Sounds like they sweep the whole question under the rug. As expected.
Yeah well at least they mentionned the "elephant in the room". Bummer.

They can't pull that with the Polly Pocket movie, right? Right!?!
