Another one from Bunty magazine (1974). An Irish girl named Lydia found the Land of the Little People (she's like a mini-giantess to them), and has a short shrinking story in a single issue.

From Bunty magazine (1980-1981), Shrinking Violet was a short series that lasted just about a year, usualy one-pagers about Violet Vickers, a girl that randomly shrinks. Once tiny, the only thing that can make her normal size again is Fizz Wizz lemonade.

I'll do my best, but the hard part is tracking all the issues from eBay or other online sources. It's really annoying that the editor of 90% of these comics, D.C. Thomson & Co., scared away most websites hosting scans with DMCA-like copyright takedowns. Since they don't offer any alternatives to buy copies legally, scalpers and resellers are now having a field day asking for ridiculous prices for these 50+ years old comics.

I completely agree! Not that I don’t love the sexual situations, but obviously things like comics and movies and books that never had the intention of sexualizing the subject in the first place are what triggered so many of us to begin with. I always love a good tiny adventure!

Yes indeed. I guess a lot of 'innocent' size related comic stories inspired many a young imagination to develop on the theme, and as we grew older would lead us to were we are now.

"Land of The Giants" was a prime example, were there was never a hint of anything sexual afoot on the screen, but those 60s female fashions more than made up for what didn't happen eh!

The good old 'what if' factor at work!

I agree! Even if those old comics aren't made with the SW fetish in mind, they're very nicely done and the SW theme was a **very** popular one, as you can see. In this story I also like the transition to "feeling small" (ie. she's poorer than her friend who all go on expensive trips), to actualy being small.

With a bit of luck I should have more comics in the next few weeks...

Issue #3
Clare is horrified to find her family is out to make money out of her condition and turn her into a cash cow. They even have a line of incredible shrinking girl dolls planned. Their excuse is that they now have a chance for money when they had always scraped by, and they have the nerve to call Clare selfish for protesting against it. Then they get a shock when they find it looks like a cat has had Clare for dinner.

Incredible Shrinking Girl

Issue #2
Clare has now shrunk down to doll size. The parents take her to hospital, but now a media circus is outside to take advantage of the huge story. The parents allow them to do so, despite Clare’s protests that she does not want to be treated like a freak. The parents say they need the money the press is offering for Clare’s treatment – well, that’s what they say, but we suspect greed is overtaking them, and they don’t care for Clare’s feelings.

After all this time, finally a new comic to post!!! Thanks to shrinky for providing me with this full set of the "Incredible Shrinking Girl" comic.

Issue #1
Clare Humphreys is recruited to test a range of products. She feels it is unhealthy because they are so full of chemicals, but she does not realise how right she is until they start making her shrink.
