When people say the reason you don't see see much shrunk or giant content in sci-fi anymore because it's so expensive I laugh and think of this show. This looks like it had a smaller budget than most modern American households and they were still able to pull of a coherent story with decent enough effects. I think Hollywood has just forgotten how to do effects. Glad Virgo Season and The Boys have brought practical and composite effects back to life. Maybe we're on the cusp of a golden age. I mean the Clips4Sale search results seems to have made a stir. Maybe that'll amount to something? (Probably more Aot50ftW style stuff but we can hope)
