Alex's Odessey

Someone is gonna find a new dolly.

Her jumping around swatting at the bees drew the attention of a hungry bird. She ran again towards some heavier growth to try to hide.

[DocRick]

Alex manages to get under cover and the bird gave up trying to make her it's breakfast. She wanders through the garden and comes to the edge where she climbs up onto the retaining wall. She hears a squeak and turns to see a large mouse eating peanuts. It didn't even seem to notice her presence, or if it did, it didn't see her as a threat or a meal. She started to see if she could get a piece of peanut as she was getting a little hungry. Abruptly the mouse stopped eating and froze. Alex slowly turned her head and saw why.............

Alex dives off the retaining wall as the mouse jumps into the foliage. Luckily for Alex, the cat was after the mouse and didn't notice her. Hiding behind an empty soda can next to a house, she watched as the poor mouse twitched a few times before dying, and she broke into a cold sweat as she realized that could have been her. She knew she had to get back to the Reynolds house, but she was so disoriented, she didn't know which way to go.

The cat wandered off to enjoy its dinner. Alex trying to get her bearing began to backtrack, going back to the garden where she thinks she came from. A noise comes from behind her.....and is coming closer.

[Kara Dollgirl]

It's not easy being a 5-inch girl in a giant world!

[DocRick]

Alex sees a giant man coming towards her. From her previous experiences with Mr. Reynolds, she doesn't believe she would want to be found by him. She tries to hide by some rough grass on the edge of the garden, but he sees her. His hand reaches down towards her.......

[DocRick]

Dodging the giant fingers, Alex runs towards the garden.

[DocRick]

The giant man took two steps and blocked Alex's flight with his hand.

[Kara Dollgirl]

Oh no! Poor Alex is about to be captured by giant male person who may treat her just like Mr. Reynolds...or worse...and Mrs. Reynolds won't be there to save her from him! Anything could happen to our heroine! I am going to be beside myself until the next Chapter comes out!

[DocRick]

The "giant" didn't want to harm the little creature scampering around but every time he reached for her, she ducked his hand and ran the other direction. Then he remembered the old shtick from watching reruns of "Land of the Giants", he pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket and dropped it on top of her.

While trying to run while pulling off her shroud, Alex trips over a stick.

[DocRick]

Alex was trapped under the heavy tarp-like cloth. She struggled to get free, only to become more entangled. Then she heard a male's voice, "Now I got you, whatever you are".

[Kara Dollgirl]

Oh my goodness! It looks like poor little Alex is about to become the property of some unknown giant male...
And she is so tiny and helpless there is nothing she can do about it!

[DocRick]

The giant scoops Alex into his hand, handkerchief wrapped around her. Alex kicks and tries to get free, but the encircling fingers holds her firmly. Then she hears the giant laugh and say, "Go ahead and squirm. You're mine now."

[DocRick]

Now tightly wrapped in the handkerchief, Alex was unable to move her arms or legs. She felt herself lifted higher, then the hand tilted slightly, and she rolled out of the hand that was holding her, giving her a momentary feeling of terror as she thought she was being dropped. She felt herself land onto what she knew was the giant's other hand. Now, she felt a tug on the handkerchief as the giant began to unwrap her from her imprisoning shroud.........

Alex's upper body was still tightly wrapped by the handkerchief. She felt a tug on the cloth above her head and it was pulled down and away from her face. She looked at the face of the giant who was staring at her, his mouth agape in astonishment and disbelief.

As he peels away the handkerchief, Alex is able to get up into a kneeling position in the giant's hand. He pokes at her with his finger, and she recoils and yells, "Stop doing that !!"

"Wow. You are real.........really small !!!!" he laughs.

[DocRick]

The giant man pulls the handkerchief away, leaving Alex in her sundress. He begins to examine her, mussing her hair, touching her legs as she tries to maintain her modesty. "I can't believe you're real. And mine. My own little lady."

[DocRick]

Having finally caught her breath, Alex got up on her knees. She pleaded with the man to take her back the Reynold's house.

"Why should I do that? I think I may want to keep you for myself. I have a nice hamster cage to put you in so you can't try to get away. We can have lots of fun together.....well, I mean, I can lots of fun with you. Not sure if you will feel the same." 

[DocRick]

Alex realizes this guy isn't gonna listen to her as he carries her into the house.

[DocRick]

As the giant enters his house, Alex panics and nearly falls out of his hand. The giant wraps his fingers around her, ending her escape attempt.

[DocRick]

The giant dropped Alex onto a desk. She slowly got to her feet and immediately made a break for it, running to the only hiding place she could see.

[DocRick]

She only gets a few steps before the giant's hand slams down in front of her.
