Requesting sightings of scene: giant hand lowering a tiny onto a surface

Hi, I want to have such a scene in my animations, and would like to see references for this action:

The giant hand has a tiny and lowers her onto a table or floor or some surface, and the tiny either gets off the hand on her own or is removed from the hand by the giant

Please let me know if you have seen it in any media. Anime, animation, movie, etc. Thanks

I don't think it's taboo, it's just up to the subject matter. And now we are having this reckoning on budgets and such.

That was my point. If the scenario involves the shrinking of a woman, then the movie makers would be very wary about how that situation was handled (or wary about making it in the first place).

Oh I get you but I think it's less taboo and more "Will The Story Have Shrinking to Begin with?" like a Superhero story, sci fi story or such.

Can you please tell me the name of the media so I can look into actually using it? I thought it'd be obvious, but the name of the movie, anime, etc is needed to get the media and check it out

That was my point. If the scenario involves the shrinking of a woman, then the movie makers would be very wary about how that situation was handled (or wary about making it in the first place).

Less the situation, but how the shrunken woman was handled that the "Karens" would be fainting over....and remember, most of these movies involve minors so ANY sexual innuendos, whether real or imagined (just look where many of the minds on this forum are ) would be a potential legal nightmare. Could just imagine the reactions if Arrianna in the latest Borrower movie was grabbed or picked up off the floor when she knocked herself out on the door? They just jumped from that to her waking up in the shoebox.

I'm not sure I follow where this conversation is heading but I don't think taboos, "Karens" or minors had anything to do with not having a grabbing/handheld scene?! It's just more technically challenging to have a realistic interaction between a giant hand and a tiny person in the same scene, than a forced perspective scene with different camera angles, for example.

You seem to be making my point for me Doc.

I wan't thinking about movies that involve shrunken people per se, for example The Borrowers or superheroine movies, or that Gen V The Boys thing on television recently. Where most of the portrayals are either played for laughs or for the novelty value. That wasn't what I meant when I mentioned movie making taboos, and what you say above is precisely why those taboos exist.

I think we're unlikely to get a movie exploring the 'darker' elements of shrinking a woman in size, because that would be a risky step to take for any movie company. And I'm not referring to graphic portrayals of sex or even nudity, but the idea it could be dealing with male dominance over a female (even if that were in an emotional way, and not overtly physical), then I believe that might pose them a problem.

No you're right, the conversation has nothing to do with what the author of the thread asked for, we've just deviated from the topic.

And agreed, it might be more technically challenging to show a woman in a giant hand, but it's certainly more doable than it was in the early movie days. More's the pity they don't remake more of those grand old B movies.

Well I agree, I'd have thought so too.

But apparently it's live action scenes from movies or television that's required, but specifically with some hand interaction. If I could help on that score I would, but I don't watch enough tv or movies (and I'm not a gamer). *shrugs*
