Supers vs evil Pocketeers part 2

With that out of the way lets get going.

1 week has past since our glorious "heroes" have blown the Pocketeers headquarter out of the water.
Fel free to mention what you have done during that time...
(Especially with the poor shrunken women you rescued)

But that is the time when Malcolm Callaway (aka the Titanium Tormentor) gets a silent alarm.
Seemingly someone managed to break into his mansion.


(And for the sixth sense it is a bit depending on what he did during that week and where he stayed...but a ghostly whisper guiding him to the action is always an option ;) )

Days after the destruction of Lord Pocketeer's base, Calloway Weapons and Manufacturing was called into summons by the Supreme Court. The act of using an orbital super weapon had caused a tidal wave to effect several different coastlines. Though it's CEO and cheif weapons manufacturer claimed he and an unnamed allie had rescued hostages from a crisis situation, the court filled in and ordered Calloway Manufacturing a penalty for the destruction affected.

There was a secondary act attempting to obtain right to surrender the tiny women to the state to be studied from the effects of the Pocketeer weapons, however, O. Malcolm Calloway had claimed to be the only perosn capable or creating a means to restore these women to their former size and allowing them to regain their livelihood. The matter and legal fight lasted for days.

This, however did not deter Oxnard from fighting for rights towards all Pocketeer weapons that remained. From that day he spent every waking moment disassembling and reverse engineering a reverse or "growth" ray. Though it was still in testing, Oxnard needed more time.

He had spent a fraction of his time making sure the tiny prisons of the pocketeers were protected under his grove of protety. Oxnard had a man-made island made in his beach and surrounded this with a pressure dome to prevent high tide effects and mounted automatic sentry turrets to prevent tresspassers from trying to aproach or kidnap hese women. Only those with clearance could approach these women; that was granted to the Sixth Sense and Oxnard, though he himself had been to preoccupied with working on the growth ray to see or even visit these tiny women. He would assure them that he would keep pressing on until the growth ray was complete and ready for human trial before restoring them. This was all true as he made sure these tiny women were given meals three times a day and properly cared. If anything this was more like the tiny woman were given a vacation so to speak; well all but one.

Oxnard managed to recapture the tiny police woman. He kept her in his private lab but gave her whatever she needed from meals to clothing to exercise equipment to keep her preoccupied. Though he managed to keep her like a mini human "pet," Oxnard had little time to give her. He'd spent most of his time working on the growth ray, heading to the Supreme Court to fight for the cases, or even his secret project of retro fitting a more effective shrinkray technology to his Mark I Warsuit.

Oxnard was restless and bitter at times, though when he did pay his "pet" a visit, she was usually resting. He would take those times to carry his little police pet to her plexiglass tank and tucked her into a small bed made for her. He doubted she cared for this or any form of comfort he gave her; odds are she plotted to escape. Oxnard wouldn't blame her if she resented him. That was reasonable; he was a villain after all.

Working himself with each pressing day, Oxnard found himself falling asleep near the incomplete growth ray.

Shortly after the destruction of the base, the Sixth Sense parted ways with Oxnard, unaware of what could happen next now that the enemy base was done for. Before leaving, however, he made sure to tell Oxnard that, should he find the shrunken police officer, to take care of her, since the Sixth Sense wouldn't be able to do it himself. Although he still didn't know if he could trust Oxnard, he kept an open mind and was willing to work with him again, should the need arise. Until then, the Sixth Sense was back on the road, hoping to find his lost memories.

Well having a clear place for everyone

Oxnard Malcom Calloway gets woken up rudely as the intruder alert in his mansion.

As the sixth sense was about to leave the city he gets stopped by....the playful ghost of Lassie?

Oxnard snapped awake. He felt drowsy but went into his lab to check the monitors. The hidden inferred cameras spotter someone breaking and entering his mansion. He set up the security grid before preparing to arm himself for this unwated house guest. Before leaving to his armory, Oxnard checked up on his little "pet and noticed her fidget in bed. He adjusted her blanket and went to arm himself.

Rex didn't smell any other animals, so she hoped she could live here. Would the people be nice?

As Oxnard checks the monitors he sees a woman dressed in a black cat suit rummaging through the mansion., looking for valuables.
Strangely only interior alarms went off, so she must have gotten inside somehow without breaking any windows or doors.

This wasn't some run of the mill thief, no this was clearly a professional. Oxnard had heard of cases were no alarms were tripped and yet places were ramsacked of all valuables. He was sure this was the same professional since she managed to evade the labd mines, inferred beams, and even the fortified electric window grid. Oxnard decided to grab the suit up in the warsuit but set up te security grid. Whatever room she was un would now be subjected to a heavy gassing of a mussle relaxing agent.

Whatever room she was in began a light liw hissing of gas. Oxnard would make his way up soon

I guess gassing a room does involve the door getting locked..otherwise circumventing this will be a bit to easy.


As the gas hisses into the room the thief runs to the door and finding it locked she....

Before charging up towards the room, Oxnard received a live feed through the subdermal implants in his head. The live feed revealed to him exactly how this professional managed to break in. Her form alteres into a gas and managed to evade all sensors on the ground level and even how she passed the electric grid on the windows; and why only his inner house alarms were able to detect her while most low level or lesser built ones fail.

Oxnard had to admit to himself that he wasn't sure if either the ion canon or the reduction ray would have a chance on this gas shifter. Then again he might have a chance of he can force the theif into her base solid form.

For that to work he would need to turn down the aor in the whole mansion to a low temperature.

Oxnard rerouted all rooms from all floors, excluding the main labs below the manor, and set them to -80° degrees celsious (Mind power 4)

The air barely chamges at all; going down ever so little every ten minutes.

Though the door id locked shut by electric locking mechanisms, the bottom has an opening.

The form of the intruder changes further no longer as solid as a gas she moves through the wall back to the outside, where she becomes visible for a probably confused dog.

Oxnard tries to force an increase in the cold air for the house. He pushes the power output more as her reaches the main for of his mansion.

The temperature lowers more to -130° degrees celsius and continues to drop. Oxnard charges down the ice cold halls to find the inturder. He arms the reduction ray on his left arm gauntlet.

The burglar pats the dog playfuly and then shudders.

It gets a bit cold here. I better delay my mission to a time when he doesn't play with extreme coolants

"You aren't going anywhere," Oxnard approaches in with his gauntlet aimed at the theif. He fires a neon blast at the thief. He made sure to use the Reduction Ray rather then the Ion Canon; last thing he needed was to destroy his property. Not to mention if he captures the thief he can find out what she is.

Rex follows the nice lady, but then suddenly things got confusing. A mean man yelled something, and then in a flash she seemed to move away really fast. Rex jumped to follow her, but somehow bumped into a little animal that smelled just like her? Confused, Rex grabbed the little "her" with her tongue and ran off to escape the bad man. Rex had recently learned how to open windows. You just jump and spin and hit them with your butt. So that is what Rex did. Crash!

Oxnard can see from his better point of view that the thief actually had split up into something like a thousand versions of herself.

At first he thought he landed the hit; only to realize that the thief actual split herself apart into smaller versions of herself. As the dog ran off with one copy.....somehow, Oxnard wasn't sure what another attack would achieve if he tried it.

This thief was capable of spitting apart and phasing through some matter. The air dropped more to -185° degrees celsius. It dawned on him. Oxnard activated the oxygen reserve to his helmet and activated the fire control system to the mansion. If this works then the cooling agent combined with the dropping of the air should freeze all 999 copies of the thief.

SWS33K3R776 rolled 2d6+8 and got a total of 19:
6, 5


The ceiling releases a high concentrated cooling agent on all floors including the halls. This begins to cover all grounds and even covers every mini thief copy.

(It's like Army of Darkness meets T2)

Right..I assume your roll was your own defense roll :P

Freezing everything works perfectly. All the little thieves become frozen statues.

You also hear loud crashes from inside the mansion as every water pipe in the building bursts.

But that is hardly the worst as the Titanium Tormentor sees to his horror that the battery and Oxygen levels deplete extremely fast..also it is quite chilling)

And then it dawns on him -185°C might be above the point were Air becomes a liquid..but it is way below a temperature animal life or most electronics can exist.
(And the suit does not have heating elements :P )

Before feeling the effects of his "ingenious" frosting plan, Oxnard activates the lower panels under him and the tiny ice statue thieves. They are lowerd into a rail system that brings them to Oxnard's lab. He dismounts from his suit and drops hard awhile clutching his chest and gasping for air.

On a side note, an artificial machine scoops up the ice thieves and places them all in a large container made from plexiglass. His systems alert Oxnard of the impending issue outside, however he is bearly recovering from his plan. Perhaps nexttime he will think these things out; or rather get more sleep to think these plans out more effectively.

Nice plan. But unfortunately it fails flat, because everything is frozen :P

I recommend getting distance from the cold as long as you still can. You can visit the ruins of what once was your mansion later :P

(But at least I have to admit, that is the first time I saw a villain base self destruct through deliberate freezing)
