Isekaied into a fantasy world for lots of size changing fun

I hand Audrey a rag so that she can wipe herself off. Nobody likes holding cold wet fish.

"Here's hoping this next quest won't force us to do too much work..."

"It's just herb gathering, surely it can't be that bad" I return with a now rather worried chuckle.
Jinxing fate is never a good idea.

Your party casually strolls to the field of herbs, and the very first thing you notice, is that it's absolutely swarming with insects. Fortunately, you can see the herbs just sitting out of reach. Though someone is going to have to go in...

"OK....not what I was expecting but I'm sure we can come up with a plan.... You could try your befriender skill to see if the insects will let you pass. Sirena could try her water skill to make a rain like effect to make them leave or maybe Fluer could run through and get the herbs we need without the bugs bothering her? What do you think, any ideas?"

"I can try my befriender skill, though befriending bugs is a bit new to me..." I inch a bit closer and activate my skill.

Unfortunately, instead of simply letting the party pass, the insects all notice a friendly presence, and like moths to a candle, start gathering around Chocolate. "Uh guys?"

The bugs swarm him, not stinging, but deciding that chocolate would be an amazing place to rest. The rest of the party giggles, watching as chocolate's skill creates him an armour of bugs.

"Um... you guys go ahead. I'll, uh... hold them off..?"

[Underscore]

"I mean.... If you're okay with that? We can get Sirena to hose you down as we leave" I joke as I motion for Audrey to.come give me a hand gathering.

Your party (except Chocolate) freely wander out into the herbs and start picking them. Soon enough, you have more than enough for the quest.

I come back out from the weeds to see chocolate still standing still as a scarecrow in his new insect made outfit.
"Hahahaha, needing a hand there friend? Sirena, do me.. Uhm... Do your master a favour and send a water spout upwards over chocolate to make it rain over them, just enough to scatter the bugs, don't want to soak Chocolate through... It's quite a trek back to the guild with these herbs".

"Okay!" Sirena says, creating a small water spout over Chocolate, scaring off all the bugs and splashing Chocolate with a considerable amount of water.

"Hey!" Chocolate protests, but is quite relieved to be freed of the army of bugs.

With that, I fall to the ground, my body stiff from all the standing.

"Need a hand there buddy" I ask as I walk over and extend a hand down to him stifling a laugh from his soaked, tired expression

I say nothing as I accept Score's help and get back up. Who knew standing around covered by bugs could be so tiresome?

Your party gathers all of the herbs together and counts them, judging them to be nearly 3 times the amount of herbs required for the quest. You all then start heading back to the guild hall to turn them in.

"Wonder what kinds of stuff these herbs are used for. Do they make good medicine or something?"

[Underscore]

"Must do, maybe we can get paid for the extra if we sell them to a alchemist or something... Or maybe it would be better to hold on to them.... Maybe we could tame or befriend something that can make use of them as they are? Maybe like a nature skill or something?"

"Let's turn in the current batch for now and figure that out when that's done. This carrying isn't helping my stiffness any..."

[Underscore]

"Sounds like you need a massage, pretty sure if you asked nicely Audrey would give you one?" I suggest with a wink

[chocolatejr9]

"Hey, I know that she's my "slave", but I'd rather not force her to do something like that." I look over at her, "She at least deserves her own say."

[Underscore]

"Yeah, no need to force her like you said but she still seems happy enough to hang out with you so it shouldn't be a problem if you just asked her" I reply, shaking my hands and head trying to swear off any implications of force

Audrey, overhearing the conversation, butts in,

"I can give you a massage master... if you want of course..."

"Well... let's just get this job done first, and see how I'm doing by then."

Your party treks back to the guild hall, magical herbs in hand, and the Scottish woman thanks you for your efforts. You decide to hold on to the extra herbs just in case. By the time you have made it back, it is late afternoon. The streets are bustling with people with their various tasks, and you relax outside the hall deciding what to do next.

"Wow, it gets pretty busy around this time, huh? Must be lots to do around here..."
