The mice apparently weren't very impressed with the light show. The building however was still burning and I didn't feel like dying here.

"Oke, time to put the fear of death into you mice!!" I yelled (perhaps a little over confidently.)

Drawing a large breath, I envisioned the most aggressive, nasty, loud cat noise I've ever heard in my life and magically amplified my voice to 11. I let loose a scream that cut trough bone and marrow.

That certainly got the mice moving, out of the door and then scattering into all directions.


Meanwhile on the outside some pixies organized enough to float water filled buckets over town and extinguish some of the worst fires.
But from the look of it they certainly could use some help.

I got myself out of the burning stable as quickly as I could. When I finally was outside and away from the flames I could breath again. My lungs try to inhaled the (relatively) cool air. Until today I couldn't have imagined how horrible it is to be inside a burning building. Even now my eyes are burning, every breath I take hurts forcing me to take small shallow breaths. I want to help others, but I know that I'm in no condition to help anyone.


Being inside a burning building does take its toll. I don't think my character is rushing anywhere without some medical attention (specially with that poor body stat). I assumed that I am insane's character also made it out of the fire.

After packing my crooked nose with cotton I grab some ice and head to Pieksiville General Hospital to have my broken nose fixed. "Ouch! Flying with an ice pack on your nose sure aint fun!" I think as I notice the flames at the barn subside a bit. "Well no firefighting tonight for this Pixie."

I guess I have seen all fire fighting activity in this threat.
So time to move on so we get to the main part eventually

The fight against the flames took several hours but at last it was over.
But it caused quite a lot of damage.
So much in fact that the queen called for an assembly to address her children.

My dear subjects, I want to thank you all for your help with the fire. But we will need even more help to deal with the aftermath. The fire completely destroyed our bee hives. As you all know honey is a main ingredient in many of our alchemical mixtures..especially pixie dust. So we need brave volunteers to go out on a quest to find us new bees or a different source of honey. Our best hope for this will be to send brave adventurers out into the other world. Anyone here brave enough to go onto this quest for honey?

The first aid was just about finished with me, when I heard about the assembly. I rushed to the assembly and made it just in time.

They asked volunteers to find a new source of honey. A lot of people enthusiastically signed up (me included).

I sure do hope that I am insane continues to participate

The volunteers quickly get moved into small groups.
(And just top be clear, all player characters coincidentally end up in the same group)
And ushered to ring of mushrooms that works as a portal to the big world.

As you go through you end up in a forest very much like your own...just without any trace of your village.

Now all you need is a good(or bad) idea

I look around and see nothing that's familiar to me. This is the first time I set foot outside the kingdom. The trees look the same, the plants look the same; but I can't shake this feeling that this place is dangerous. Maybe I'm just nervous being in a strange place and all.

I'm the first to arrive through the portal(maybe I should have waited.) and I decide to wait for the others up in a tree. This gives me the opportunity to look around and I feel saver up in a tree then on the ground.

I quickly zip along the tree and look for a comfortable place up high.

I see someone coming through the portal, "Yes I'm not alone anymore!"
I quickly fly down and give the stranger a enthusiastic hug.

"You must be part of my team! I knew they wouldn't send me out alone. My name is Malumi Luna. What's your name? Where are you from? Do you have hobby's? Do you like sweets? Are you a musician? Do you have allergies?"

In my enthusiasm I kept rambling on and I was still hugging this person.
I might not make the best impression at the moment, but I'm just so glad that I'm not alone anymore.

I do not know anything about your character's characteristics would you mind telling me? (Things that my character is able to see by just looking at the him/her)

My character is a little overenthusiastic but kind; has a thin body type, is a little bit on the short side and has dark shoulder length hair with small red highlights. eye color is brown.

As I'm being hugged/assaulted by my new teammate, I try to answer a few of their questions.

"Um... I'm a water specialist... a-and I'm, um... curious, apparently. And, um... Oh! Please don't laugh, but... my name is, um... Fae Ree..."

My fairy is a female water user who is of "noticeable enough" physique, particularly in the chest area. By this, I mean she's noticeable enough to attract attention to herself, be it men or women, but not enough for the world to stop moving whenever she flings her hair in the wind or anything.

Also, she's a bit shy, and will often require someone to tell her to do something when said thing needs to be done, as she's nervous about jumping into the situation uncalled for.

I let Fae Ree go and ask her, "So Fae Ree, do you think others are still on their way? I was kinda was getting bored of waiting for the others. Should we start looking around? or are you still expecting someone?"

I don't know if i am insane will be joining us anytime soon. However we can just start the quest and i am insane can rejoin whenever he is able to. (maybe new players will join us as well.)

I thought about Fae Ree question for a moment before I answered her.

"Hhm, well the first thing to look for would be some kind of field with flowers. Bee's in general life in places where they can get nectar from flowers and those type of plants generally need sunlight. Would you mind trying to look for something like that?"

"Guess it would be better if we didn't split up then. What did you do to the bees that they don't like you?" I asked Fae Ree as we searched the forest for a clearing.

"If I did do anything to them, I honestly don't remember what. Maybe they just... Don't like me? As in, is it possible they don't need a reason? I'm genuinely asking."

As you search the river you come across something that looks like a weird black frozen river.

But it clearly isn't a river.
It is so straight that you might think as a very broad trail.

But that is clearly not what this is either.

Getting closer you see that there are tiny stones in the blackness.

This world has strange things indeed

I spot a weird black frozen river ahead of us. It looked very odd, almost like a pitch black mirror.

"He look, you see that weird looking surface? I have never seen anything like it. Did you ever come across something like this, Fae Ree?" I asked her.

I knew better then to stick my hand in something I din't know a thing about. I was however intrigued by this strange looking stuff. I started looking for a twig or a pebble on the ground to throw in the river.

I look closely at the black river, careful not to touch it. "M-Maybe someone didn't like the river, so they cast some m-magic on it. I had to deal with a magic user when I was younger... W-W-Worst p-person I've ever..."

I can't even finish the thought without feeling sick in my stomach.
