Missed opportunity for her to shrink slightly during sex due to the amount of calories being used.

And yes, I get it, this is supposed to be wholesome, normal sex for her. That's important for her character. But there's still no reason her character traits should disappear, and that shrinking can't play into her normal life in a positive way.

I think the issue here is they haven't explained how the powers work and I think they fully intend to keep it vague so they can be as inconsistent as they feel on a whim.

Modern TV and movies seem to love skull fucking canon and consistency whenever they please and as someone on the spectrum it drives me insane. Why have any world building? Why have any consistency? Why not string random fucking words and events together incoherently because your director's ego isn't satisfied with the already few existing rules in your world you've chosen to not ignore?

I'm guessing they're going to focus on her growing. Maybe her incident at chuck'e'cheese (or whatever) was foreshadowing and she'll end up eating people to grow or something fucked up like that... which makes me wonder if hee Mom calling her a monster implies she, like, ate other girls her age during that party or something. Fucking yikes.

IDK, I think Little Cricket is dead and this is the age of Enormous Emma from here on out. They definitely seem to want to link her shrinking and Marie's blood bending to self harm so I'll be VERY surprised if they don't make it so Marie never uses her own blood ever again and Emma never shrinks again.

Then again maybe Emma goes micro and rides a drop of blood to infiltrate someone and the eat them from the inside out in order to "ant-man" the person. Who knows. The writers are so committed to trolling expectations it's hard to tell.

Alone and crushed, she starts crying but then quickly realizes she's changing and ends up about 1 foot tall surrounded by her clothes. We don't see her again until after the last scene when she's normal sized and she, Marie, Andre, and Jordan are captured.
