I don't know what happened, but it looks like the 8muses forum is gone.
They probably took it out without giving anyone any notice. And every time you click the link, it redirects you to the main 8muses site.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Though, it's pretty understandable why they took it down.

I noticed that, too. I wonder if that means there won't be anymore updates? Granted, I stopped using that site after I learned none of the people who made the comics posted there were getting compensation (I was an idiot and thought it was a Netflix type of deal), but I did notice they were having issues keeping up with updates. I think it was around the time Russia invaded Ukraine where it got real bad: not sure if the two are connected, but I did notice it.

Yeah. I still remember ZZZ Comics getting into financial issues because of this. I did noticed too that 8muses is indeed made in another country. So the DMCA stuff didn't apply to them. But, I guess that would explain a lot of things now.

You seriously think it was that? The comics site is still up, with all that material still available. Why would they just kill the forum if they feared government prosecution?

It has to have been complaints by content creators. The forums were a huge source for poachers.

Why would they kill a forum if they feared government prosecution? Really? I don't know. Cuz jail time and state sanctioned murder is pretty scary.

What could some random content sellers from another continent gonna do to convince poaching and pirating fucks from shutting down shop? Cry to their local justice system which Russia doesn't even recognize?

It's was probably neither of these things they shutting it down to be perfectly honest. But we'll probably never know.

I said why would the JUST kill the forum. As in how would that protect them from prosecution when the more incriminating material remains? It'd be like being caught with a warehouse full of heroin and cocaine, and just dumping the cocaine...

What I’m seeing is that they shut down the forums due to a rampant amount of underage pornography, specifically ai generated, and they couldn’t risk it anymore.
