Have you ever done a fancasting on your hypothetical fictional movie with a GT and Sw ?

Post by Giant-Man1984 » Mon Feb 22, 2021 9:28 pm

For example, I imagined a remake of: The seventh voyage of Sinbad with Henry Cavill as Sinbad and Selena Gomez (or Emma Watson as Princess Parisa)

Or even "The amazing colossal man" I imagined a remake with Glenn Manning and Carol Forrest could be interpreted by Chris Pratt / Hayden Panettiere, or The Rock / Karen Gillian and finally Louis Ferrigno Jr./AnnaSophia Robb

I also imagined a film about the first Ant-Man (which obviously would soon become GIant-Man 😎😎😎) and the Wasp interpreated by Alexander Skarsgård and
Emilia Clarke or even Alan Ritchson e
Katherine Langford (or even Ariel Winter).

A movie about a gentle giant (or a transposition of gulliver's travels like the one with Jack Black) falling in love with a normal-sized woman the giant could be played by Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender and the woman by Sophie Turner or Florence Pugh

I do like to see the likes of the Borrowers, Arrietty, or The Littles make a comeback. Same for Dr. Shrinker and Land of the Giants.

I once imagined a remake of The Devil Doll with Morena Baccarin as the evil scientist who shrinks Margot Robbie to do her bidding. Although unlike the original, Robbie is aware of her situation and finds a way to restore her size and shrink Baccarin.

Emma and Princess Parisa makes my life have meaning! :ray_gun

I'm about to put out a fancasting for a Land of the Giants reboot. Since we are for SW, the male roles will be genderbent.

I probably mentioned this before, but with all the remakes of 80s movies, I'd love an ISW remake with Julie Bowen as the titular character. She's hot and she can do comedy.

I would love to see a serious version of "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" or a story of a shrinking woman staring Charlize Theron. I think she'd be great in a role like that :)

This!

I so desperately crave a serious ISW, and though I think either Charlize Theron or Julie Bowen would me great, my heart is with Sandra Bullock in the title role.

I've been thinking of a topic similar to this one, but it would focus on fancasting original content from the community. Regarding the subject at hand, I would say (from the top of my head) Emilia Clarke in a AIW adaptation.

A fleshed out full length motion picture of Red Parrot's Office Politics with Ariel Winter as the main character.

Back when he posted the trailer, RP mentioned that the female supervisor was supposed to shrink, but the actress bailed. Make it happen here with Cobie Smuthers as the boss.

Incredible Shrinking Woman with Natalie Portman or Kristen Bell or those people that got mentioned earlier

Borrowers? The mom can be Jessica Chastain and the daughter? I dunno. Joey King?

If I can change the Wasp actress, it would be Amy Adams

I like doing this for content such as Minimizer's work. Here's something I came up with.

Sandi's Trials (Part 1-3)
Sandi: Emma Stone
Angela: Alison Brie
Dawn: Alexandra Daddario

Thanks. Those would be great. Actually I'd take just about excuse to see a shrunken Alexandra Daddario.

I always thought Jennifer Garner would be great as the lead role in SW Casino.

Understandable regarding Daddario.

I have thought about SW Casino too and I've jumped around with a few ideas. Garner is not a bad choice.

Edit: Actually giving it some thought (and taking your choice into consideration) my choice for Kate would be Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

How about Pilot Paisley-Rose? She'll turn 16 next month, her hair is brown, so it shouldn't be hard to make her auburn/redhead; she's attractive, and she grew up in competitive gymnastics, so she'll be able to do all the climbing, balancing, etc.

I also imagine a free adaptation of the gentle lumberjack giant Paul Bunyan falls in love with a minuscule woman (for him of course). Jason Momoa and Emila Clarke still together after Game of Thrones would be great. It would be fun to see even more extensive and "big" (or should I say very big) the difference in stature between the two actors. I imagine a scene where Jason Momoa lying down cuddles his tiny Emilia Clarke who smiles at him that she is comfortably leaning and smiling on his immense body, or that she is sitting on his shoulder, or sitting on the palm of his hand while Jason walks , admiring the view. In this aptly Jason is a giant 100-150 feet tall.Going back to talking about an adaptation of Marvel's Giant-Man and Wasp, see me well as Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne: Garrett hedlund and Emma roberts.

I'm currently musing over ISW as a Blumhouse thriller starring Elizabeth Moss. I saw Invisible Man and thought "...so close." And let me just anticipate the hate and say that while Elizabeth Moss is not anyone's 'covergirl', she would nonetheless be perfect in the role. We can all dream about Margot Robbie, but she's just eye candy. She doesn't have the chops in my opinion.

Don’t know how I missed this thread lol. I hadn’t really thought about who I’d cast in my own works until now. I’ll just stick to the three longer ones, Post-Punk and Shrunk and Burning Heaven and Three Hours/Three Days.

Post-Punk and Shrunk:

Image
Emma Stone as Emily/Laureline (mmmmm tiny Emma Stone… *starts drooling*)

Image
Saoirse Ronan as Emma (Just imagine her with this length of hair only green lol… so adorable)

Image
Elizabeth Gillies as Madelyn (she just looks like a troublemaker lol)

Burning Heaven:

Image
Anna Kendrick as Maggie (What can I say, the girl has range)

Image
Rachel Brosnahan as Connie (just the right combination of strength and sass)

Image
Julia Jones (so lovely with just the right haunted look about her)

Image
Amanda Seyfried as Sandra (She has just the ethereal look and the personality to suit the role)

Image
Kristen Bell as Greta (for two reasons, one… I think hearing her speak in a German accent would be entertaining, and two… she’s so damn like-able and relatable that when… uh… you-know-what happens early in the story, it will sting that much more)

Three Hours/Three Days:

Image
Deborah Ann Woll as Lauren (from her True Blood days of course, as the character is a bit younger… and this is a casting of something that will never happen, so I’ll do whatever I want lol. There’s a vulnerability to her that I’d love to watch turn into malice lol)

Image
Emma Roberts as Sloane (No one makes character bitchiness cute like Emma does! As a side note, I almost went with Taylor Swift, just because I think we’d all like to see her knocked off her high horse lol)

Anyway, that was fun!
