A Fay Wray for every generation

Post by PickUpArtist » Thu Oct 19, 2023 6:30 pm

It struck me that every generation since the original has had their own Kong damsel -- Fay Wray obviously, as the Lost/Greatest Gen, Jessica Lange for the Boomers, Naomi Watts for Gen X and Brie Larson (kind of) for Millennials, though I really wish we'd gotten a more traditional, struggling-in-fist, constantly-picked-up kind of scenario with the latter. I doubt we'll see something like that with the next gen, but would be nice seeing some hip twentysomething blonde caught in Kong's clutches...

(just slightly kidding)
Right now, the "woke" attitude is still hanging around, so perhaps Barbie (movie version)?
"You're like, really tiny."
"Thanks. I had no idea."

I feel like the Boomers didn't have one. Jessica Lange, 1976... she is firmly the GenX bride of Kong (IMO).
Neat!

I was 15 when Kong 76 premiered. I saw it on the big screen, and it fueled my fantasies for decades.....Jessica belongs to us Boomers.

I'd say your Kong girl is the first one you saw. Even though I am not a Boomer, Kong 76 is the first one I ever saw and is a BIG reason as to who I am today! And potentially is the reason I have a preference for short blondes :p
