Sorry to burst bubbles but not true, the movie is in a weird spot with the cutbacks, and the dual strikes but who knows now with Iger wanting more known IP to deal with, I know Josh Gad and the writers are pushing for it still and fans want it.

i honestly wish they can continue with this after the SAG strike is over. i really want this film to happen.

Probably because it *is* fanfiction... sadly I don't think we're getting this one. Like Josh Gad tweeted, the pandemic and recent cuts at Disney made it highly unlikely, if not impossible.

For the record, I still think those auditions I posted in 2020 were the real deal.

This is disappointing. This interview makes it sounds like is pretty much a dead project at this point. So sad. I would be satisfied just to be able to read the script and know what they had planned for it.

Hopefully the script will leak at some point, like 2010's Alice in Wonderland draft script (which included many great scenes that weren't filmed sadly).

I have no doubt that if it is made, this website will be full of people upset that the shrunken people weren’t used as sex objects - particularly if the shrunken people are children. The negative reaction to the shrunken sex scene in Gen V reminds me that this community doesn’t deserve anything good since people won’t appreciate it
