We've this at least since the 1977 King Kong. However, Jessica Lange was nearly seriously injured a couple times by the mechanical hands of Kong. She was nearly knocked unconscious when Kong tapped her on the head and was squeezed too tightly a couple times. A simple malfunction or human error could have crushed her like a grape. Not sure I'd trust AI or a human controlling these things.
