TV shows you wish had SW

Post by Tinkerbell’s Bf » Wed May 15, 2024 12:47 am

I would have loved to have seen Daphne and Velma from Scooby Doo shrunk

Or maybe Gwen from Ben 10?

There was an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer where Eliza Dushku's character says "you gonna shrink me now?" but nothing ever happened.

Too bad. She would have been a nice tiny.

American Horror Story - Coven, the third series of the FX anthology horror series focused on witches. I definitely think there was a missed SW opportunity. The bitchy one, played by Emma Roberts, would've been a nice shrinkee.

In fact, just about any movie or show with witches missed the mark for shrinking. The 1994 movie Witch Hunt does feature one of the better shrinking out of clothes sequences in a mainstream movie.....unfortunately, its a guy.

Ironically, the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" TV show featured precious little female shrinking... or shrinking of any kind, for that matter!

The "2.5 Dimensional Seduction" (2.5次元の誘惑) anime's finally arriving in July. Should end up on this list going by the manga.

It's called "Bait and Switch". They kept the name of the movie, but it was intended to feature other misadventures involving other inventions.

ngl I kinda wished Shrunk wasn't axed now. it could have been nice to have a tv serialization that worked like the Land of the Giants way with a dash of Honey I Blew Up the Kid levels of urgency.

I don't. That was the most god-awful irritating show I'd ever seen. I really don't care if it had SW, I would not sit through the writing to get to it.

========================

Adding SW to an existing show could never work as well as a show that was about SW.

Do you mean "Honey I shrunk the kids" tv series? That was canned in 2000.

no, its the recent Shrunk movie, a Honey I shrunk legacy movie featuring Josh Gad. Rick Moranis was suppose to come out of retirement to return for the film.

Oh, what was the context of that line? Did Willow have a shrinking spell or something?

Something I do remember though, in the season where the villains are just the 3 nerd guys forming an alliance, in the first episodes, they brainstorm tech projects to develop to gain power, and in the whiteboard there's "Shrinking Ray"
I make SW 2D hand-drawn animations, manga and comics (F/f) :-D, please check them out on my Gumroad: https://swanims.gumroad.com

No, it was more of a psychiatric-type of reference as one of the characters was pointing out her mental problems. A shame really, as actually physically shrinking her would have saved them a lot of trouble...

Why not, Prof? Ignoring the "how" of it, aren't there characters we'd love to see shrunk in basically everything? The domineering authority figure or the unattainable crush? Like, I watch The Price Is Right and wonder if they actually had the contestants run in the Rat Race shrunk down, there's an SW story in there for sure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHp2GUxQG74&t=1383s

The closest to an SW they had on that show was when Amy had to get along as Willow's pet rat for years. Also turned Buffy into a rat once.

Don't forget had we gotten the animated Buffy show, she would have spent a episode shrunk.

Ugh, you're really putting salt in that wound. I remember the interview way back then, I was so sad to hear they had a shrunken Buffy planned.

To contribute to the thread, I simply wish Minami-kun 2024 to have a few SW scenes, like other versions had that switcheroo dream sequence.
